History
Established in 2012.
Opened in September 2012 by Shannon Healy, Alley Twenty Six crafts seasonally-based cocktails with a passion for honoring the art of the classic cocktail and a commitment to using locally sourced ingredients, redefining what it means to drink in your local watering hole. With the addition of Chef Carrie Schleiffer in 2017, Alley Twenty Six expanded its space and added a kitchen with the aim of providing upscale food and cocktail pairings. Located in downtown Durham, N.C. on 26 Alley, the bar has won numerous awards for Best Cocktail and Best Bartender in Durham and in the Triangle from notable local publications as well as featured in Our State Magazine, Travel & Leisure, Food52 and USA Today.
