We provide the highest quality produce, meat, fish and chicken by focusing on fresh. Fish from around the world is shipped overnight from the docks to our restaurants every day. Dishes are always house-made, from salad dressings to desserts. 131 MAIN Restaurant opened in Cornelius, North Carolina in August of 2004 when Joe Douglas and Chris Carlsen, the company owners, were in search of a restaurant tenant to fill a vacant space in one of their company's retail developments. After unsuccessfully identifying a tenant meeting their high quality and fresh food expectations, a college friend who was still in the restaurant industry joined the team to assist in the creation of a great restaurant company. 131 MAIN stands for one idea, 3 friends and one goal. There are currently four 131 MAIN locations in North Carolina with one in Cornelius, two in Charlotte and one in Asheville.
