Verde Kitchen & Cocktails is one of Long Island's favorite Mexican restaurants. Specializing in authentic Mexican cuisine, Verde focuses on Mexico City and Oaxacan style food in the 96 seat restaurant. The Guacamole Trio is our signature Guac along with Guacamole Pescado (smoked Fluke & Shrimp) and Guacamole Rajas (Pomegranate seeds, almonds, Pepitas and roasted Poblanos for a little kick).The main dining room is a live greenhouse which is home to over 50 varieties of herbs, peppers and edible garnishes and are all used throughout the bar and kitchen programs. The 30 foot bar is bustling and vibrant. You'll find a mix of young professionals, foodies and all sorts of interesting people who are all enjoying the craft cocktails, margaritas and specialty beers. You won't find any generic drinks here though. All of the cocktails are handcrafted using freshly squeezed juices, house made simple syrups (the lavender simple syrup for the Lavender Mint Mojito is a must try) and even a house made Hibiscus Grenadine for the Old Fashioned Oaxacan and Tequila Mockingbird. Signature drinks include the Verde all natural Margarita and the Sandia which is fresh watermelon puree, muddled Serrano peppers, Espolon Blanco Tequila and Combier Orange Liqueur.
History
Established in 2014.
Verde was built and designed using mostly reclaimed materials such as old bar wood, barn roofs, recycled brick and repurposed tables and chairs. Verde, or "green" is not only a restaurant but also a concept; the ability to use only the freshest ingredients in everything we make as well as being environmentally aware and helping to reduce waste and pollution as much as possible. Our travels through Mexico City, Oaxaca, the Pacific coastline and everything in between has been a tremendous inspiration to use quality ingredients to produce some of the best Mexican food on Long Island. Craft cocktails, specialty beer, an extensive wine menu, excellent food and outstanding service is what Verde is all about. Join us for lunch and dinner 7 days a week with brunch on Sundays from 11am-4pm. Happy Hour every Monday-Friday 3pm-7pm with $5 Margaritas and mixed drinks, $4 beers, $2 off all wines and 1/2 price tacos & quesadillas
