For our chef, Maria Petridis, her passion for the culinary world began as she was growing up in a small village named Skoutari in Serres, Greece. She would look over her mother's shoulder any chance she got so that she could learn all the secrets and nuances of the Mediterranean kitchen. Since, she has grown, nurtured, and perfected her talent through experience in the kitchen. Maria's Mediterranean opened in Bayside back in 2011 and has been committed to providing delicious, homestyle Greek dishes with a modern twist ever since. We use nothing but the highest quality and freshest meats, produce, and ingredients to provide you with a truly authentic Mediterranean dining experience.

Established in 2011.

Maria's is family owned and operated business. The entire restaurant, menu, concept, even the interior & exterior, were all completely built from the ground up by father and son. Maria, is the chef & also mother of three. After years of being told her food was magnificent, she put her cooking skill to work in the kitchen. Her gift for cooking along with her family's input on new creative twists on traditional Greek dishes, makes for some truly inspiring Daily Specials. No wonder our food has been titled, for lack of more perfect words, "Truly Homemade"....
