Specialties

We are a small wine bar/restaurant on the UES serving craft beers and great wines. We serve eclectic comfort food much of which is organic and gluten-free. Our daily specials range from a homemade pasta to Hanger Steak to Roasted Artichoke Salad. Our Shrimp Tacos and Guacamole are the best you have ever had. There is no television and jazz music is always played in the background. We have our regulars, dates and mostly neighborhood people.

Ed and Heidi (Heidi's House by the side of the road right next door) opened this little spot for four reasons:  First, because they love bars; second, because Heidi's was so busy they needed a place for the folks to wait while their spot opened; third, because Heidi's is so busy, you can't play games there anymore (but you can at Ed's!) and fourth, because Ed wanted a place to have poetry readings and do Do It Yourself Shakespeare.  We now have Trivia on Wednesdays at 8pm on the Ed's side. Like Heidi's House, we built the kind of bar we like, one with no television, playing smooth jazz on the box, cozy, a place you can meet your pal or meet new friends.  Ed's serves the full Heidi's menu.
