History

Established in 1940.

The Brisket, Pastrami, Corned Beef at David's is fantastic as tender as any of Manhattan's long-standing aspirants. I Took over the business from Al-Mas in 2010. I kept the same method of curing the meat. However, customers were not convinced when they see new faces. That's when i decided to move to high quality grade of meat. The cost is a little bit more but i needed to win the customers back. We’re from the people and for the people. Al-MAS junior took his place behind the meat slicer in 1980 taking over for his father who purchased the deli from the Zoli's family in 1970.it was called Zoli's in the 1940 till 1970.the Mas family changed the name to David's Brisket House. He ran a tight ship, entrusting the meat's preparation only to those who have spent a minimum of six months under his careful tutelage”My biggest challenge is keeping things consistent. Al-MAS was once asked about the recipe and he’s response was to that “either your family or you come into the family”

My Name is Riyadh Gazali I’m a Yemeni American Muslim. I’m very proud to be running one of the only halal Pastrami shops in New York maybe in the whole country. I’ve been working In The food industry for about 25 Years and if god is willing I will still be around for the next 25 years serving some of the best Pastrami, Brisket and corn beef in the city.
