The Grind is a new independent Coffee Shop and Cafe in the heart of Westchase. If you crave great coffee, you'll love knowing that we provide you with a real alternative to chains with handcrafted espresso drinks and a full tea bar. Our local baristas know that great espresso takes more than pushing a button. We work hard to deliver great taste while also providing knowledgeable service, perfect if you just want to try something new. Our range of 1883 Flavorings (imported from France and preservative free) and lots of milk alternatives (soy, almond, rice, coconut) lets everyone experiment to find new favorites. Our Cafe delivers way beyond the traditional coffee shop favorites (although we think our homemade pastries are pretty good). We have traditional breakfast choices, including eggs and pancakes, and plenty of healthy options (Gluten free, vegetarian, vegan). Our lunch offerings include salads, sandwiches and flatbreads. And as for the late nighters... we know you'll appreciate having a spot for your dessert fix as well as a spiked coffee.

History

Established in 2014.

The Grind is an independent coffee shop/cafe that opened in Westchase Town Center the spring of 2014. We are owned and operated by two couples local to Westchase (no franchise or corporate owners in sight). As coffee and breakfast lovers, we wanted to provide great coffee and healthy, real food in our neighborhood. We also set out to build an inviting yet upscale interior and used many Tampa-area craftsman to create a unique and comfortable place to enjoy your coffee and omelette (or salad or dessert). We have one other location- The Campus Grind which opened a few years ago on the USF St Petersburg campus, near Whitted airport and the Dali (6th Ave and 1st St). The Campus Grind is a favorite of students and faculty.
