History
Established in 1987.
History of Schooner Wharf Paul and Evalena Worthington sailed into Key West in November of 1984 on the classic 1926 Alden Schooner Defiance. The Worthington's dream was to create a Historic Seaport district at the Key West Bight. Schooner Wharf is now home to the largest working fleet of Schooners on the east coast. The Schooner Wharf started at a time when there were numerous shrimp boats located at the site and many nautical businesses were in operation. Paul and Evalena also had the largest marine fuel dealership south of Miami. They take great pride in maintaining "A last little piece of old Key West..." The bar began aboard the Brigantine Diamonte in early 1986 as a living room for the waterfront community. Eventually the bar was moved ashore where a diving board served as the bar top, the top shelf liquor was kept in the top drawer of a filing cabinet and an eclectic "salvage décor' was created. The bar is currently located where "Pink Gold" was once de-head
