Pinch Kitchen by Chef/Owner John Gallo, brings his “freestyle" culinary approach to this MiMo locale, serving a New American menu that plays on Asian, Italian and Spanish flavors, plus offers a full bar with craft cocktails, eclectic craft beers and a boutique wine selection that includes organic wine. Wood tables and a rustic feel reinvigorate the space and the accommodating staff makes you feel like you are dining at home. Pinch Kitchen is quickly gaining local and national recognition and has received numerous awards including "Best New Restaurant in Miami Upper East Side" by Miami New Times, a "Three-Star Review" by the Miami Herald and was selected as one of Miami's "Best Brunch Restaurant" by Time Out! The passion for John's cooking style started at a young age inspired by his grandmother's passion for Cuban cooking. John is a graduate from Johnson and Wales University in Miami. He started his culinary career over fourteen years ago at Casa Tua as a stagier and worked his way through the ranks to achieve the title of Chef de Partie while learning from Executive Chef Sergio Sigala. After a couple of years, he joined the opening team for Db Bistro Moderne at the JW Marriott Marquis.  The time spent at Db Bistro was "intense and extraordinary" working under Chef Jarrod Verbiak, hailing from the Michelin starred restaurant Daniel, and Chef Conor Hanlon, formerly the Dutch. John then joined the Pubbelly group where he was part of the opening team with Chef Jose Mendin at Pubbelly Sushi, then with Chef Juliana Gonzalez at Barceloneta in South Miami and then again with Chef Mendin at L'echon Brasserie. John is the Chef/Owner of Pinch Kitchen, proudly serving fresh farm-to-fork American fare
