History

Established in 1999.

Greek Islands is the brain child of Sam and George Kantzavelos. After being asked by many where to go and find great Greek cuisine, Sam put his culinary genius to work and created our superb dishes, along with mouth watering renditions on the standard Greek taverna plates. A great part of the success of this business is the consistency and quality of its meals and the superb service by its knowledgeable staff. While the long lines may look intimidating to some, our many patrons know that a meal at the Greek Islands is worth the wait!

Christos, is the Owner/Operator and creative genius of Greek Islands Taverna. A second generation restauranteur of the Greek food Staple located in Fort Lauderdale, FL that the Kantzavelos Family has operated since 1999.  Florida International University Chaplin School of Hospitality Alumni
