Cafe Sole is celebrating 20 years of excellence! We believe in fresh food, prepared daily. We specialize in fresh, local seafood which comes to us from local captains in the Florida Keys. Cafe Sole is the perfect place to taste the best local fish in a fine dining atmosphere. The perfect meal at Cafe Sole: ~Conch Carpaccio (Sweet Bahamian conch, thinly sliced, sprinkled with asiago, capers, red bell peppers and Bermuda onion) ~Hog Snapper Sole (Hog snapper, or hogfish, live on the reef and eat mostly small crustaceans producing a delicate light white meat. Divers catch hogfish; we serve it pan seared in a puddle of roasted red bell pepper hollandaise) ~Trio of Desserts (Fresh berries & Grand Marnier, a small bowl of perfect creme brûlée, and a sliver of our award-winng Key Lime Pie)

History

Established in 1995.

My wife, Judy, and I founded Cafe' Sole' on March 25th, 1995. I had my son Jason on my back in the kitchen while Judy greeted the guests and helped Richie, our first waiter serve the food. Whenever there was a slow moment we would jump on the dish station and try to keep up. Our first major goal at Cafe' Sole' was to hire a dish washer. Jason had his first birthday on our opening day. Twenty months later our beautiful daughter Megan was nearly concieved at Cafe' Sole'. She arrived in the mid afternoon on a Saturday during the Christmas rush of the holidays at 4:16 p.m., conviently allowing me to return to Cafe' Sole' and cook for a hundred guests and hand out cigars!
