American Icon Brewery was founded in 2016, with founder Michael ("Mike") Rechter purchasing and redeveloping the extraordinary 100 year old Historic Diesel Plant building into one of America's coolest brewpubs. A forward thinking real estate developer and visionary in the hospitality business, Mike's passion and striving for excellence helped develop and grow the American Icon concept from it's humble roots into one of Florida's top breweries, not to mention a terrific restaurant and fantastic venue for live music and other events. Now with American Icon, Mike's passion for beer, along with his ability of leading a team of supremely talented individuals has provided the day to day foundation for American Icon's level of excellence in everything that we do. At American Icon, while our flagship brewpub in downtown Vero Beach is amazing, our food is fantastic, and our service wonderful, it all starts with the quality of our craft beer.
