Side Street Cafe is a family and women owned business right in the heart of Costa Mesa, CA. Which all started with Diane Beach, the owner of this lovely and unique cafe. Diane is the Mom and Grandma to the people who work with her - our strong and free spirited owner that we love! So come on in and read some funny signs, chat with our lovely family members who run the cafe, catch up with a friend or family, and enjoy a hot and homemade style meal. We are open from 8am - 2pm everyday! Can’t wait to meet you!

History

Established in 1992.

When owner Diane Beach first opened Side Street in 1992, she barely had enough money to decorate. Therefore, the night before opening she ran home and grabbed every family photo she could find to decorate the restaurant walls. Over the years many other wooden signs with funny sayings have been added giving customers a laugh or two. The chairs and coffee cups are cheerfully mismatched giving our customers a place where they can feel at home in their busy daily lives.
