In 2016, when I found out about my heart disease, I declined my doctor’s advice for surgery and medication and went on a health journey to discover alternatives. Through my journey, I found out that more than 40% of the American population are at risk of heart disease. That’s when I switched to a plant-based diet and started tracking my health through blood tests and doctor’s visits without any medication. What started out as a desire to change my own personal habits for health reasons, I found that the accessibility to healthy eats is so limited. That was the inspiration and purpose of the existence of RawASF. Our mission is to make nutritious eating healthy, easy, and accessible, without having a negative impact on health, animals, and the environment. With the help of my co-founders, we will do everything we can to carry on with our goal of serving the underserved communities.
