About the Business

Specialties

Experience a dine and drink revelation at the finest brewery in Monterey CA. Our award winning local brewed beers makes Peter B's Brewpub a local favorite for fine drinks and delicious food.

History

Established in 1978.

Peter B's behind the Portola Hotel & Spa has been satisfying locals and visitors to the Monterey Peninsula for over 30 years. Like many restaurants, Peter B's has gone through a series of changes and upgrades since it first opened its doors in 1978, but it has always maintained an outstanding level of service and provided a great place to meet and enjoy food, friends and fun. Peter B's Brewpub was originally the Doubletree Hotel's fine dining restaurant, dubbed Peter B's on the Alley. In 1996, the space was remodeled into a "showcase" Monterey brewpub for Carmel Brewing Company. The original brewing equipment was purchased and owned by Carmel Brewing until Portola purchased the equipment and assumed the task of brewing the beer onsite. See what's brewing at Peter B's Brewpub!
