History

Established in 2003.

In the fall of 2003, after returning home from a mandatory fire evacuation, Mike and Julie Hastings found that their building, which was being leased by an Italian restaurant, had been abandoned. A quick decision lead Julie to try the restaurant business. Mike, being a builder, immediately went to work on the remodeling process. Less than two months later the newly named Peppercorn Grille was open for business. We offer a large and versatile menu, including Prime Angus steaks, fresh seafood, lamb, pork, chicken, pasta dishes, homemade pizza, fresh daily soups, breads and fabulous desserts. Heated patio dining available as well as cocktails and an extensive wine list. Open everyday at 11:00 am, with dinner beginning at 4:00 pm. In the fall of 2003, this exciting business venture came along by chance and Julie quickly decided that she was ready for a new challenge and in less than two months, the newly named Peppercorn Grille opened for business.Born and raised in Big Bear, Julie knew just what her community needed: a restaurant that would produce consistently great food, a professional and friendly staff, and a clean, intimate environment. She has achieved just that with the Peppercorn Grille. Since its opening, the restaurant has established its reputation as being the number one choice for dining in Big Bear. Julie continues to set high standards for her restaurant and finds support from her reliable staff who share in her vision.The Peppercorn Grille treats diners to a beautiful dining room with several cozy and private booths, as well as tables on our heated patio with views of the Village. Our extensive menu offers items sure to please every appetite.
