Modern Peruvian family restaurant specializing in fresh seafood dishes. We have a ceviche bar for those who just want to grab a stool and indulge in some fresh Peruvian ceviche! Our anticuchos were a hit at 2014 LA Street Food Fest at the Rose Bowl and won the Wild Card Award from the judges. Our Lomo Saltado and Tallarin Verde are also very popular as they are made with juicey filet mignons.

History

Established in 2014.

When owners, Julio & Cecilia, first immigrated to Los Angeles in the 80s, they opened Mr. Pollo in West Covina, serving their famous Peruvian pollo a la brasa. However, Mr. Pollo is a fast food type restaurant and does not offer any of the owners' beloved seafood dishes they love and miss from their hometown. It's been their dream to open a full service Peruvian restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley that offers diners fresh ceviche, fresh seafood dishes, and high quality hot dishes all reminiscent of the food that they grew up eating...but with a few modern twists, of course. And hence, Misky Misky was opened it's doors on July 19, 2014. Misky is the Quechua word for "delicious". Quechua was the language of the Inca empire which was destroyed by the Spanish in the 16th century. With Misky Misky, Julio & Cecilia hopes to grow the public's awareness of Peruvian food by offering high quality Peruvian dishes that are presented beautifully in a friendly, comfortable, and modern setting.
