The first La Pergoletta was established 20 years ago in Florianopolis, an island off the southern coast of Brazil, by Elia Seganti, older brother of Paolo. The simple wholesome food traditionally from the regions of Emilia Romagna e Tuscany, was an immediate success La Pergoletta today is a family of several restaurants, all run by family members. La Pergoletta in Los Feliz is an authentic Trattoria Italiana, offering warm and friendly service, and dishes that are rustic, genuine, abundant, like you'd find in any traditional Italian home.

Born and raised in Modena, Italy, (home of balsamic vinegar and Ferrari) Paolo began his culinary experience from an early age. Having worked alongside his brother Elia, in his uncle's pizzeria and family restaurant, Paolo has always had his 'hands in pasta'...Theatre, and acting was also a big passion of his, and after an early career as a boxer, (family sport, and certainly a surrogate for the stage for him) he decided to come to the States to study and work as an actor.He supported his studies as a dishwasher working his way up to cook, in several restaurants from Toronto, Canada to New York city. One of his dreams was to open his own Italian restaurant.He teamed up with older brother Elia who is now an established restaurant owner of La Pergoletta in Sao Paolo, Brazil, and together they opened La Pergoletta in Los Feliz.
