We specialize in delicious Mexican food with a California flare and outstanding customer service. Here are some of our customer favorites: Fajitas Chupacabras, a huge portion of Beef, Chicken, and Shrimp fajitas. Carne Asada Plate, 10 oz. of juicy Angus Sirloin steak, a cheese enchilada, guacamole, rice, and beans. If you like seafood, many guests love our Camarones de la Casa made with homemade Garlic Butter sauce or our famous Seared Ahi Tacos. Don't forget our signature Items that go back to our beginning in 1977 like our Burrito Lito, weighing in at over 1 pound! Or our Joselito's Special Burrito filled with a homemade Chile Relleno. Come for the food, stay for the Margaritas. Our award-winning Margaritas are made with Sunkist Sweet and Sour, Gold tequila and Triple Sec. We don't use a mix. We also make the best Virgin (Non-Alcoholic) cocktails in Los Angeles. Have you ever had a Margarita for dessert? Try our Almond Joy Margarita to satisfy that sweet tooth. Then there are our seasonal Margaritas like our Watermelon Margarita served in a watermelon Shell or Our pumpkin Margarita served in a mini Pumpkin! Finally, our desserts! We have many different flavors of homemade flan (Reese's, Chocolate Oreo, Butterscotch and of course, regular). We specialize in two flavors of Deep Fried Ice Cream (Churro or Chocolate Chips) perfect for sharing but even better for being selfish :)

History

Established in 1977.

The original Joselito's was started by my parents Myrna and Jose Sr. in Burbank, CA. They soon outgrew the space in Burbank and moved to Montrose. My parents valued serving delicious food, in a clean comfortable atmosphere while treating every customer like a guest in their home. They taught me to treat everyone, in business and in life, like I would want to be treated. I stress this with my entire staff. In 2000, when I opened the Tujunga location, I made sure to carry on my parent's traditions and commitment to their customers. My father still pops his head in from time to time to make sure things are being done to his standards. He is never disappointed and always impressed as I am sure you will be. Today I run Joselito's Tujunga with my business partner and dear friend Tumara and we both wish you a healthy appetite and invite you to message us with compliments :) or if you feel there was anything wrong with the food or service you received. Joselito's Mexican Food was started in 1977 by Jose's parents; Myrna and Jose Sr.  He was only 3 years old at the time and can remember dad wrapping an apron around his waist and telling him to bus tables.  Since then Jose has worked at Joselito's as well as other restaurants including a chinese restaurant and studied Culinary Arts at Mission College. In 2000, after opening and running a successful Deli, He opened up the Tujunga Joselito's.  In 2010 Jose and Tumara took over Joselito's Tujunga.  Tumara has worked at Joselito's Tujunga since day one and eventually her and Jose got married.  They realized they made better business  partners than marital partners but still work together better than any team since Abbot & Costello.  Tumara has an extensive food service background that started in the Navy and continues in LAUSD Food Services.  There is another Joselito's in Montrose run by Jose's younger brother.  While they share the same basic recipes each one is run independently.
