Come and experience a new wave in dining! Churrasco, which means barbeque, is a tradition for more than three centuries in a region in southern Brazil, known as the Pampas (High Plains). The old gauchos (local ranchers) cooked large portions of poultry, pork and beef on skewers over an open fire pit. This original and unique way of roasting meat conserved the characteristic taste of each portion, leaving the cuts full of their natural juices and flavors. Green Field has been in existence since 1995 when it opened the doors to its first location in New York. The Long Beach restaurant has been in business since 2001, and its unlikely combination of high-end cuisine and laid-back atmosphere has been a hit with Brazilian expatriates and local diners alike.
