History

Established in 1986.

Gloria Ferrer Caves and Vineyards was the first sparkling wine house in Sonoma Carneros, the Ferrer Family, based just outside of Barcelona, Spain in the CAVA wine region, has centuries of winemaking history in their native Spain.Jose Ferrer named the winery after his wife Gloria Ferrer, in honor of the important roles that so many women have played in their winery history. In the early 90's Gloria Ferrer started producing estate varietal wines as well as sparkling wine including estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
