History

Established in 1984.

It all began in Downey, the year of 1992, when Smail Djokovic took over Downey Pizza Company. This location was located just across the street on Lakewood Ave. He worked there till finally a new location opened up close by (9026 Florence Ave. Downey, CA) Smail worked hard enough to move to the new location and build this family friendly, new and improved restaurant in 2003. We moved to a new location and still to this day is serving the best pizza in town. The Downey Pizza Company also originated the Pastrami Pizza in 1984. It consists of mustard, pickles and pastrami. The pastrami pizza quickly became famous and has been said that The Downey Pizza Company's Pastrami Pizza is one of the most unique and original pizzas ever created.
