Over its 40 years of operation, it has a devoted following for its home-made potstickers, spicy Szechuan stir-fries, and one of the best Peking Ducks on the Peninsula. We would be remiss if we didn't mention their legendary Mai Tai's which you will have to experience for yourself.

Chef Chu's opened its doors in 1970 as a small take-out operation. Over the years, due mainly to the dedication & passion of owner Chef Lawrence Chu, the restaurant has become one of the Peninsula's favorite family destinations.

Chef Lawrence Chu was born in Szechuan province of China and grew up in Taiwan. Since opening his restaurant in 1970, Chef Chu has been passionate about sharing his love of Chinese cuisine with the American diner.He has authored 3 cookbooks, lectured and appeared on numerous cooking programs over the 40 years of his career.
