History
Established in 2016.
Established in 2016, founded by 3 ambitious Japanese owners who wanted to share their cultural cuisine with the world. BESHOCK Ramen brought a slice of Japan in downtown San Diego's East Village. Beshock provides total dining experience of great service, authentic food at comforting modern dining space with educational session of sake to Japanese whiskies. Beshock Ramen was established after extensive three-year Ramen research in Japan and all over the states. Ramen is Japanese soul food that people enjoyed on a daily basis and the BESHOCK team envisions a culinary hotspot tailored to suit the daily lives of busy San Diegans seeking meals that won't leave them feeling "heavy" or over-indulged. BESHOCK carefully selects ingredients and combines a mix of local vegetables and uses Japanese traditional seasoning techniques of "Dashi" concept to give the ramen a noticeably lighter Tonkotsu with tons of flavors in depth. We are fully ready to welcoming you all!

Business owner information
Ayaka I.
Business Owner
Ayaka was born in Nagoya, Japan. She began living abroad when she was 16 in Canada and from there continued to Hawaii and South Korea for several more years; experiencing many diverse cultures and lifestyles along the way. The world of saké was introduced to her when she was working as a long-term volunteer in Miyagi prefecture after The Great Eastern Japan Earthquake. Eastern Japan carries a good variety of local saké and it was an eye-opening experience for her to come upon this time-honored gem in her own homeland. From there she discovered her life passion: to proudly to introduce the national beverage of her country by becoming a certified Sake Sommelier in 2014 but she felt that her journey has only just begun. To expand her knowledge and to fulfill her curiosity, she visited a variety of Sake breweries throughout Japan. Since then she has been the leading sake ambassador here in San Diego to promote the beauty of its culture and tradition.
