Established in 1978.
Chef/owner Rene Baudat formerly of Aspen, Co.,opened this lovely restaurant restaurant with his wife Jan in 1978 as one of Tlaquepaque's first tenants. Rene retired in 1990, and now is owned ad operated by the Sedona-based Mercer's Kitchen Restaurant Group, helmed by CIA trained Chef Mercer Mohr. Rene continues to delight locals and visitors alike with locally sourced and organic cuisine of the Mediterranean right in the heart of Sedona.

Chef Mercer Mohr graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. After holding Executive Chef positions at the Four Seasons, Hyatt Resorts and Corporate Executive Chef for Tsar Nicouli, he moved to Sedona, Arizona to start Mercer's Kitchen Restaurant Grou. At Rene,he offers true mediterranean cuisine featuring dishes from Spain, Italy, France, Greece and Morocco. Rene is located within Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village in Sedona.
