Pho Avina is a family owned and operated Vietnamese restaurant. In 1990, our family started Avina's Vietnamese Cuisine on the corner of 43rd Ave & Bell Rd. In 2005, my mother sold her store and I took over Pho Phat in 2007. We specialize in Southern Vietnamese cooking. From start to finish, our Pho broth takes 12 hours to prepare and we use fresh cuts of eye round steak, brisket, flank, shank, and oxtail to flavor our broth. So, stop by for a steaming bowl of Pho...hope to see you soon!

In 1990, our family started Avina's Vietnamese Cuisine on the corner of 43rd Ave & Bell Rd. In 2005, my mother sold her store and I took over Pho Phat in 2007.

Avina's family escaped Vietnam in 1986. The family were boat people, fleeing the communist rule after the war, because her father was a lieutenant in the Southern Vietnamese Army. The family, along with other members on the boat, were rescued to a refugee camp in the Philippines. After one year living in the refugee camp, the family was sponsored by a Baptist Church from Des Moines, Iowa. The family arrived in the US in 1987. They lived in Iowa for a little over one year and, then, moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma following job opportunities. After one one year in Tulsa, the family moved to Arizona to be closer to family. The parents purchased a restaurant on 43rd Ave and Bell Road in 1990. They renamed the restaurant Avina's Vietnamese Restaurant, after their daughter. The restaurant was sold in 2005 and their daughter opened up her own restaurant in 2007, named Pho Avina. Pho Avina restaurant has won many local awards and specializes in southern Vietnamese Cuisine.
