History

Established in 2001.

Greg started 23 years ago in the Lincoln View Plaza taking over a restaurant that had not been able to make it. He redesigned it to be a comfortable restaurant, with warm ambiance, lots of wood, and welcoming feel. The bar is open and friendly with live music Thursday- Saturday. Owner Greg has been in the restaurant business his whole life. He moved to Arizona over 35 years ago from a small town in up state New York, about 3 miles from Woodstock where he worked for a small family owned Italian restaurant. As well, Greg gained a lot of his recipes from his Mother, whose parents were Italian immigrants. L'Amore Restaurant is all about family, friends and a passion for great service, food and atmosphere. For the past four years L'Amore has been the winner of Open Tables best Italian restaurant- come join us for another great year!

Greg was raised in Up State New York about 3 miles from Woodstock. His Mothers parents were immigrants from Italy, needless to say they all were great cooks. Greg's first job was at a family owned Italian restaurant called Salvucci's. He worked there until he moved to Arizona over 35 years ago and opened L'Amore. Many of the recipes are derived from his Mom;s great cooking, in fact the meatballs are her recipe. Greg insists that all the food is prepared fresh every day. The seafood and fish is flown in daily all fresh. All our sauces are made from scratch and the pasta is fresh pasta. Greg makes sure all the customers are happy with their dining experience. He meets you at he front door, usually by name! The goal is always that you feel like you are entering the owners home to dine.
