Jesse's..."The Steakhouse Destination" for guest who enjoy prime cuts that are dry and wet aged to perfection. We have bone-in steak selections, fresh local seafood and signature entrees prepared by our Executive Chef Laurence Agnew and his culinary team. Jesse's has an extensive wine menu, signature cocktails and craft beers that change throughout the year. Jesse's also has a young diners menu for our youngest of patrons to enjoy as well. We look forward to having you dine with us for lunch or dinner.

History

Established in 1922.

Jesse's Restaurant started from the Moore Brothers Market that has been the community hub of Magnolia Springs since the 20's. The restaurant's dining room was the home of the original Post office in Magnolia Springs and still houses the original mail slots with some names still visible. The restaurant derives it's name from Jesse's King, a loyal employee to the Moore Brothers who is believed to have not missed a day of work in 60 years. The bar known as "The Cold Hole" is named for the fresh water springs that are right across the street. The springs are always freezing cold, even in the peak of summer. The restaurant is accessible by boat on the Magnolia River, an Outstanding Alabama Waterway. Step back in time while you dine as this historical gem is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings.

Business Owner

Steve and Angie Coltharp purchased Jesse's Restaurant in 2012 and immediately began changing menus to create a more upscale dining experience.  "We love the quaint community of Magnolia Springs and all of its wonderful charm.  It felt right when we visited Jesse's and we decided right then this is home for us."  The Coltharps moved to Fairhope, Alabama from Denver, Colorado where they left corporate jobs to be closer to family. Jesse's is now expanding to it's second location in Fort Morgan, Alabama sometime in 2022.
